Hi, my name is
Ollie.
I build things for the web.
I am a university studying software engineering. I am currently working on creating experiences and automations with a human-centered design.
01.About Me
Hi there, I'm Ollie and I enjoy creating things that live on the web and in the cloud. My interest in programming really emerged back in 2016 when I created my first project in Python.
Since then, I've been working on boilerplate projects, and have created a number of automation processes, saving countless hours at a multi-national company.
Here are some of the technologies I use on a day-to-day basis:
- JavaScript
- Express
- React
- Next.js
- AWS
- MongoDB

Featured Project
Bean Bot
Bean Bot is a comprehensive Discord bot made in JavaScript and deployed using Docker. This project acted as my introduction to Docker and includes a wide range of commands and event functionality, including the popular use-case of playing music through channels such as Spotify.

472 Squadron Air Cadets Website
The website made for my local Air Cadet Squadron - 472 (Hoylake and West Kirby). This website was the first project I made for an external party, and allowed me to gain insight into the communication required when working with a client on a project.

Photo Gallery App
This photo gallery application was my introduction into Amazon's cloud storage platform S3, as well as using a CDN to delivery platform-optimised copies of full-scale images. It also uses authentication and introduced me to hashing passwords for secure storage in a remote database.
